FLORIDA – In a deeply disturbing case out of Monroe County, two women have been arrested and charged with child neglect after allegedly facilitating the sexual assault of a juvenile girl, who was reportedly raped by a 15-year-old boy during an alcohol-fueled night at one of their homes.
According to documents reviewed by Law&Crime and a report from Miami’s WPLG, the accused are:
- Sandra Vivine Suarez Ramirez, 40
- Janessa Marie Pierce, 22
Both women are being held in Key West Jail on $10,000 bond each, while the 15-year-old boy is facing a charge of sexual battery.
What Happened?
The incident reportedly took place on February 11, 2025, at Pierce’s residence. According to a probable cause affidavit, which remains confidential in court records but was obtained by WPLG:
- The women picked up the juvenile victim in Key West, along with Pierce’s 15-year-old brother.
- The group was then taken to a liquor store, where Ramirez allegedly instructed the teens to hide their faces from surveillance cameras.
- The girls were allegedly provided vodka, spiked iced tea, and spiced rum by the adults. The victim said Ramirez gave her straight shots of Tito’s vodka from the bottle.
Alleged Assault After Alcohol
The most disturbing part of the affidavit states that Ramirez reportedly told the girl, “You’re going to become a woman tonight,” before the 15-year-old boy brought her into a bedroom.
At that point:
- Pierce allegedly told Ramirez, “Let’s leave them alone,” and the two women left the room.
- The girl says she was then raped by the teen boy.
Victim’s and Suspects’ Relationship
- The victim is reportedly related to Ramirez, though the exact relationship was redacted.
- The 15-year-old boy is Pierce’s younger brother, making this case all the more disturbing.
Investigations and Conflicting Statements
In interviews conducted on February 19, both women reportedly admitted to buying alcohol but claimed it was for themselves, not for the teens. However:
- Pierce admitted she keeps rum in the fridge, accessible to “anyone.”
- The women gave conflicting and vague answers about the teens’ whereabouts, saying they left to attend a “party” but couldn’t say where.
15-Year-Old Claims It Was “Consensual”
The boy reportedly told investigators:
“The victim said yes… I don’t remember much because I was drunk.”
However, under Florida law, minors cannot legally consent to sexual activity, and intoxication cannot be used as a valid defense in such cases.
